minimum standards for factories

We have always asked that our factories meet minimum sustainability standards. As we talked about in the section about minimum standards for farms, we know that many brands and retailers have their own standards for sustainability, and these all ask for similar criteria. This is the same for factory standards and we don’t want to add extra burden to our sites by requesting additional audits when not required.

Instead, we’ve started using the Coca-Cola Supplier Guiding Principles audit for all factories in our supply chain. Not only can we use this as an external audit by a third party, but it is also interchangeable with all other standards under AIM-PROGRESS. This platform allows us to share audit results with other companies, to reduce the burden placed upon our suppliers, which in turn allows them to crack on and actually fix the problems, rather than just talking about it.
