rinse, recycle, repeat
We wouldn't be able to have any recycled plastic in our packaging if people didn't recycle stuff in the first place. All of our packaging is 100% recyclable, unfortunately, not all councils recycle everything. You can find out if yours does by visiting Recycle Now. You can also use the same site to find your nearest recycling bank. If your council doesn't, get in touch and pester them. If enough people do it, they'll listen.
the story so far
the past, present and future of our packaging
We start thinking a bit harder about the impact our bottles have on the world, including climate change and how they’re recycled.
We create and launch our first 25% recycled plastic (rPET) smoothie bottle. Big moment.
We hit 50% recycled plastic (rPET) in all of our bottles, except one which we trial in PLA, a compostable plastic.
We test drive our first 100% recycled bottle. Great idea in theory, but it didn’t go too well as they turned out a bit of a funny colour.
We have to pull back to 35% rPET because the bottles aren’t looking their best. We take advice & support from our friends at WRAP.
We work hard to improve the quality of our smoothies and manage to get some of them back up to 50% recycled plastic (rPET). Happy days.
We promise to include plant plastic in all of our bottles. We make and trial our new recycled & plant plastic PET smoothie bottle. It’s looking good.
We make our most sustainable smoothie bottle yet out of 50% recycled plastic and 15% plant plastic. It’s brighter & more beautiful than any bottle before it.
By 2022, all of our bottles will be 100% renewable, made from recycled and plant plastic. We're already over halfway there.
