Thoughts from April 2013

ani-merge-imals (or something)

Have you ever wondered what a photo of a penguin merged with a whale would look like?

Nah, us neither.

Norewegian student Arne Fredriksen obviously has though, after discovering that combining photos of his favourite animals was a good way of relaxing in between his chemical engineering exams. Sitting around eating a lot of biscuits works pretty well too, but each to their own.

Check out more of them here:

civilisation is breaking down

We walked into work today to this sign.

This is not good news.

The atmosphere is tense, to say the least. The powers that be are trying to fob us off with nice food instead, no doubt hoping that carbohydrate-heavy breakfast treats combined with a lack of caffeine will make us too lethargic to complain.

Clearly, this is completely unacceptable. And as soon as we finish our third pain au chocolat and have a little nap under our desk, we’re going to go and tell them that.

Win tickets to innocent inspires, a new series of inspirational evenings, tailor-made by innocent

Under the Hall floodlights and with the aroma of deep heat in the air, we will be discussing “how to live well and die old” with our stellar line-up of speakers including the legendary Olympian and real life adventurer, James Cracknell; the TV-GP who has seen it all, Dr Pixie McKenna and London’s running collective, Run Dem Crew.

Join the capital’s finest running team for an (optional) run around West London before taking a seat in the sports hall to find out how we can all get a little bit healthier. Whether you’re sports-mad or a couch potato with an interest, join us to find out what role mind plays in health? How can we stay alive that little bit longer? How many squat thrusts is it possible to do in thirty seconds? Half-time oranges included.

Doors open at 7pm at the innocent sports hall, 187 Freston Road, London, W10 6TH

If you’d like to be in with the chance to win one of the 5 pairs of tickets we have to give away, just let us know what event (real or made up) you’d win an Olympic medal in…
