Keeping absolutely nothing safe from anything.
While perusing the internet (on his lunch break of course) our Tim came across this top tip for growing seeds from Friends of the Earth:
"Cut empty plastic bottles in half and place them over seedlings as individual greenhouses. Very young plants will benefit from the warm micro-climate created beneath the plastic, which also protects them from hungry slugs and snails."
So that’s what he did, using the top of two of our smoothie bottles. We'll keep you posted on his plants' progress.
It's very uncomfortable.
