Thoughts from September 2010

hat of the week

Fruit Towers has been filling up with Big Knit hats over the last few weeks, wool all over the picnic benches, hats popping up at places you wouldn't expect (there's been a gnome invasion - more to follow soon), and it means it's been a hard one to chose for, but here are the contestants for this week's hat of the week.

Week 2 Val Cox

Val sent in an amazingly varied collection of hats, but this be-scarfed bear really tickled us.

Week 2 Susan Molinaro - USA

Susan sent us this little Viking. But not from Scandinavia, oh no, but all the way from the US of A.

The winning knitter will get a case of smoothies in the post. Let the voting commence...

the first Big Knit hat of the week 2010

Peas-ed to meet you, mon petit pois.

We've already had thousands of beautiful hats delivered to us here at Fruit Towers, but this week's hat of the week goes to the lovely Suzy from Weymouth. Whilst her prize hat shows peas in a pod, the array of little gems that she's sent us have been far from that, with a pygmy goat and a beautiful little daisy also being amongst the collection.

Thank you Suzy, a case of smoothies will be on their way to you now.

name that cow

A few months ago, we asked for your help in naming Ed's cow.

After some excellent suggestions, Farmer Ed has whittled down all the possible pet names to a shortlist of 5.

So to give Ol’ Milky a proper identity, just click here and vote for your favourite name.

Voting will close on Monday 6th September so you’ll need to get a mooove on if you want to get your name campaign underway.

We'll let you know the results next week.
