Bored at work? Perfected your headstand in the loos, completed a full scale post-it note replica of Mount Rushmore and made everyone tea (twice)? Well, here's a new way to alleviate boredom/ stationery abuse. Back in March, Mr. Luke was a bit bored at work. So he sent us this picture to show us how bored he was.
We liked this idea so much we've made it into an official competition called the Big Knit Hat Tag. All you have to do to enter is take a photo of a little woolly hat (comically positioned at a distance over a person / object / building), upload it to Facebook, tag it up and maybe win yourself some smoothies.
We've already kick-started the game in the office. Here are just a few to get the ball rolling. George gets a boat on the head.
Kirsty opts for a more classic Nordic hat look.
And I also got caught out by Emma, mid-texting.
We've even made a free special kit to get you started. To bagsy one, just click here and let the tagging commence.
We all love that warm and fuzzy feeling when we help someone out, don't we?
Well that's what our Fliss did on 24th September when she organised a MacMillan coffee morning here at Fruit Towers.
There were cakes galore
And plenty of tea and coffee to wash it down with.
Eddie had a run-in with a blackcurrant cheesecake (it wasn't pretty).
MacMillan sent one of their most important people over to sample our tasty treats with a nice brew.
He's the one on the right, next to Kat.
Whoever was talking seems to have him and Kat hanging on every
Jo rounded the morning off nicely (whilst burning a few calories), re-enacting that famous scene from 'Big'.
Every penny raised went to MacMillan Cancer which made eating so much cake on a Friday morning all the more acceptable.
Big pat on the back to Fliss and everyone else who spent the previous evening knees deep in icing.
In preparation for my trip, I wanted to find out what people thought of the Ethiopian honey I'm going to be working on, so I organised a little taste test in the office: Amar honey vs UNC (Un-Named Competitor.) It got a bit messy in the kitchen but we have a clear winner 13 votes to 2:
Olivia's reaction says it all: she didn't really like UNC.
But she liked Amar:
A good start to my honey-marketing project.
Yes, but he's a little on the small side. Surely he can't be carrying very many smoothies in there? Watch the video to find out...
A big thank you to the Tilgate Drive Knitter Knatterers for sending us the little van, and the hundred hats inside.
