We want our packaging to have the lowest possible impact on the world around us. We are achieving this through three main ways;

1. We are moving away from virgin finite materials to renewable materials, such as recycled plastic and plastic alternatives such as bottles made out of corn starch - a material known as Polylactic. To date, we have managed to get our plastic smoothie bottles to 50% recycled plastic (we're working on the rest) and we have a corn starch, commercially compostable bottle due to launch in September 2006.
2. Working with suppliers with the highest efficiency and environmental standards. In fact, we are increasingly asking our suppliers to join us in using green electricity and carbon offsetting their emissions.
3. Educating consumers on the best recycling options and working with partners to improve end of life options such as Closed Loop recycling systems. And if you would like to find out more about our packaging choices and their recyclability then check here.
