UK Creative
Hello. We’re looking for someone to come and work as a creative in our London office. You’ll be joining our existing in-house creative team, which over the years has been responsible for helping build the innocent brand from scratch.
innocent has grown a lot in the last few years, and now has offices and creatives across Europe. This means that our Head of Creative increasingly spends more time working with our European brothers and sisters, and needs someone to come and help out in the UK.
So what will you be working on? Well, it’ll be the stuff that we like doing best:
Copywriting – across all packaging, web and marketing materials, your voice will become one of the voices of innocent. Sharpen your pencil.
Advertising – you’ll respond to briefs for TV and press advertising, upholding our heritage for generating great ideas in-house.
Brand guardianship – you will lie down in front of speeding locomotives in order to protect the company, brand and tone that we have created.
Web content – you’ll work with our web design team to make sure that content stays interesting. This will include a fair bit of blogging.
Agency liaison – you’ll help to manage and collaborate with our agencies, to ensure that whenever we work with external folks, we always get innocent results.
Idea generation – you’ll respond to briefs from other parts of the business, for promotional bumf, books and other tools of the trade.
Pack design – working with our in-house team and design agencies, you’ll help our packs stay nice and fresh.

Don’t worry – you won’t be expected to do all of this from day one. We accept that it’ll take a little while to learn about the way we work, and to learn a bit more about innocent from the inside. You’ll be working closely with our Head of Creative in order to achieve this, so your relationship will be crucial.
And as this is pretty much a one-off opportunity, we’re going to be fussy. Ideally, we’d like to find someone with at least 5 years' experience in a creative environment e.g. ad agency, design agency, publisher, working as in-house creative/writer etc. Your writing skills will be very important, as is your ability to judge whether something is innocent or not. And we’ll be looking for someone who can do the following:
Able to demonstrate evidence of initiating and executing great creative work
Be passionate about creativity and its application in the commercial world
Have a great manner with all those that you work with
Pass on your knowledge and help to develop and coach your colleagues
Take criticism both positively and constructively
Manage projects in a timely and efficient fashion
