Making a smoothie using local ingredients has always proved to be tough.

Lots of the stuff that we like the taste of doesn't grow in the UK. Mangoes, coconuts, cranberries, pineapples - homegrown versions are few and far between. So we challenged ourselves to see if we could make a recipe using mostly local ingredients. And we did. Damsons, blackberries and apples are as local as your postman, and taste even better. So please enjoy this recipe - it's only around for a short while, and then it'll be back off home.
