Thoughts from February 2009

three generations of snowmen

This little baby snowman was made with love and paperclips by one of our friends on twitter this morning.

Tiny snowman

He inspired Kat and Charlie H to sack off work and build a slightly larger, more adolescent yet equally stationery based snow brother.

And then everyone else decided to spend their lunch hour building the beast that is the ugliest grandaddy of snowmen this side of Shepherd's Bush.

Here's how they did it.

Stage 1: Preparation

Roll a massive ball of snow round the car park.

Stage 2: Rest

Or take a break for snow angel making.

Stage 3: Push

Hard.

Stage 4: Add some final touches

Stage 5: Stand back and admire your creation

still cold out

The drive

What with all the buses cancelled, treacherous road conditions and most trains seriously delayed, only about 30 or so of us managed to make it into the office today.

Welcome

So we decided to make the most of the lack of cars in the carpark and have a proper snowball fight.

First person to hit Ed was supposed to win a small prize.

Ready

Aim

Fire

Retreat

But he got so clobbered, we're not really sure who won.
